Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise will show as the Opening Night Film for indigo Moon Film Festival on October 7, 2016.
And Still I Rise is the first documentary about the life and legacy of the legendary poet, playwright and civil rights activist Dr. Maya Angelou. Dr. Angelou has become a global symbol of peace, human rights, and freedom–– but parts of her story are not well known.
And Still I Rise celebrates Dr. Maya Angelou by weaving her words with rare and intimate archival photographs and videos that paint hidden moments of her exuberant life during some of America’s most defining civil rights moments.

Indigo Moon Film Festival is honored to screen this incredible film about an amazing American.
